After the replacement handle is in place, attach the retaining screw back to its position to fix the handle on the faucet. With help of a screwdriver, tighten this screw.
Step #6: With the plumbing putty, smear " close to the base of the new faucet. Push the new faucet into the holes, and the plumbing putty will work its magic by sealing it in place.
Step #1: First of all, turn off the water supply to the kitchen. Nowadays, modern kitchen sinks have the mechanism where there are valves right underneath it; if your sink has one too, turn it off. If not, then you may have to turn off the entire connection for the entire house.
Using a dry rag, wipe the surface of the sink in, at the spot of the strainer. Allow it to dry totally before you go ahead to the next step.
