First thing you need to do is drain the sink of all the residual water. This will reduce the possibility of dripping.
No one likes a dirty sink. The sight of stagnant pools of water and leftover food particles, stray roaches scuttling over the sink pipes and dirty dishes, then disappearing into the drain―all this paints a rather disgusting picture, doesn't it? A clean kitchen sink not only looks good, but is one of the most important factors in maintaining hygiene. A clean sink will curb the growth of insects and rodents and therefore control illnesses and diseases. Therefore, a clean sink should not be an option, but a compulsion. If your faucet is of this type, you will find the set screw after pushing back the handle. Unscrew it to remove the handle. Now, carefully take the escutcheon cap off, mounting screws to pull the cylinder out. The neoprene seal can be taken off with a blunt screwdriver. Wipe off all the cylinder openings with white vinegar and if you notice any damaged seals, replace them. To change the entire cylinder, simply place the new one in its place. After replacement, reassemble the entire faucet.
