In case of mineral deposit formations on the kitchen faucet, take some paper towels, soak them in vinegar and then wrap them around the faucets. Let these stay for 50 minutes or so. This will get rid of the deposits and leave the faucets shiny.
If your kitchen sink is lightly stained, clean it with soap water and allow to drain. Then apply white vinegar, using a clean cloth and scrub well. Instead of vinegar, you can use baking soda. Sprinkle baking soda over the surface of the sink and scrub with a damp sponge. Wipe and dry the surface with a paper towel. You can use some oil to bring back the lost sheen. Pour some drops of oil on a clean cloth and polish the surface with it.
If your kitchen looks dull, you do not have to go for kitchen remodeling to change its look. Installing a stainless steel kitchen sink accomplishes the purpose. Make sure you clean the sink on a regular basis, which is very important.
Step #3: Now take out the stem and check if the threads (circular angled discs on the stem) are corroded or worn out. If they are really bad and beyond repair then take it to the hardware store to find a matching part; or clean-up the stem with an old brush, if it's just dirty.
