Step #7: If the new faucet requires screw covers or bolts (over the end of screws), then slide it under the sink and install it along with the washers. Tighten the washers and screw covers or bolts near the base so it can hold your new faucet properly.
After removing the access panel, check what type of system your faucet has. It most probably will have a two-valve one. Now what you do is, remove the cap of the valve, so that the handle screw beneath it gets exposed. Remove the handle for this handle screw.
In the storage area beneath your sink, there would be an attachment nut. Loosen it with the help of a wrench.
