Whoa! This was quite a tiring session, wasn't it? However, even if you might be tired, you must be feeling pretty satisfied as you were yourself able to fix the leak!
▣ An important factor is the quality of the sink. This directly relates to the material, i.e, the quality of the steel used to make the sink. Check the gauge of the steel, i.e., the thickness of the metal. Sinks are available in a variety of gauges, and differ according to the brand and purpose. A gauge is a numerical value that indicates thickness. The higher the number, lower is the thickness, while a smaller number indicates thicker steel. This is important because it determines the durability of the sink.
Once the water supply is cut off, you can proceed to the task of repairing the faucet. Dismantle the cabinet and the counter top where the faucet has been installed. Now remove the handle of the faucet by unscrewing it from the faucet. For this, you will need a screwdriver.
First thing you need to do is drain the sink of all the residual water. This will reduce the possibility of dripping.
