Olimpia Anat. sink & faucet. August 22nd , 2017.
After all those possible efforts you applied in removing the knob, the job of replacing it back is not at all wearisome. Put the valve back to its actual position and screw it back in. Using a wrench tighten the diverter valve but make sure you don't overdo it. Once everything is fixed, fidget a bit with the knob to assure that it properly points down for the bath faucet and (left or up) for the shower faucet. This action of shower faucet replacement will hint you that the knob is affixed in its correct position and it is all good for use. Quickly run a test to check its working condition. Release the water pressure by turning on the shower side. If you see no leaks, not even a single drop, then definitely your leaky shower faucet has been repaired.
The most common cause for a faucet to leak is a worn out washer. Doing the repair yourself will save you on plumbing costs. For this task, you need to keep some spare cloth, screwdrivers, towels, newspapers, and a knife on standby. Cover the floor using towels and paper, so that the water does not collect on your flooring.
Release the sink from the clamps. For the faucets, you can decide on how you want it to be placed, leaving the sink overnight to set.
Mix cup of baking soda with cup of laundry detergent in a container and pour the mixture into the drain. Stand at a distance and slowly pour vinegar into the drain. After 15 minutes, run hot water through the sink to clean it.
