If your kitchen sink is lightly stained, clean it with soap water and allow to drain. Then apply white vinegar, using a clean cloth and scrub well. Instead of vinegar, you can use baking soda. Sprinkle baking soda over the surface of the sink and scrub with a damp sponge. Wipe and dry the surface with a paper towel. You can use some oil to bring back the lost sheen. Pour some drops of oil on a clean cloth and polish the surface with it.
Change the p-trap in the advent of any problem you may find in it or if the need be any other parts.
You may also clean stainless steel sinks using hot water and bleach. Close the drain and fill the sink with hot water. After ten minutes, add one cap full of bleach to the water. Keep the water for one or two hours, so as to allow the stains and dirt to soften. Drain the water and scrub the sink using a soft brush or toothbrush. Use cold water to rinse, and wipe it dry with a paper towel.
