Inspect the rubber washer. From whatever little plumbing experience that I have, I have seen that most faucet leakages are caused by worn out washers and threads. Just looking at the washer itself will give you a good idea of whether it is in good condition or not. Replace the worn out washer with a new one of the same size and thickness.
Buy the perfect size and shape in lieu for the old one and bring it home. Before fixing it, wrap a double layer of Teflon tape on the stem threads of the new diverter assembly to stop the water leakage.
Use a set of strong pliers to extract the nuts that hold the faucet together. Do this slowly, and as you remove each part, keep it in the same order as you remove it. This will make it easier to put the parts back together again.
You have to consider various factors, before choosing a kitchen sink. However, durability has always been the most important factor, rather than looks, design, or style. Now, times have changed, and a wide range of kitchen sinks are available in different materials. There are traditional ones, that are made of porcelain, stainless steel, granite, and copper. At the same time, newer versions made of fiberglass and acrylic are also getting popular.
